Motorcycle Girl is Upcoming Pakistani Movie in this movie Pakistani actress Sohai Ali Abro is starring in a Zenith Irfan biopic named ‘Motorcycle Girl’ that filmmakers have confirmed will see the release of the day on April 20.

Zenith Irfan was the first Pakistani woman to undertake a solo journey across the country’s north.

Her daring adventures, documented via Facebook on her blog as 1 Girl, 2 Wheels, have received tremendous appreciation from the public.

The feature movie is written and directed by Adnan Sarwar whose first feature film entitled ‘Shah’ was a biopic based on Pakistani Olympian boxer Hussain Shah.

“The remarkable story of what Zenith Irfan did at such a young age caught my attention after Shah, and I knew it was the right subject to turn into a Motorcycle Girl movie”, revealed Adnan Sarwar. “I have scripted a fictional world around the true core story of her journey, and I hope that Motorcycle Girl will help further the cause of women empowerment in Pakistan”.

To fit into the challenging character, Sohai received rigorous motorcycle training and also accompanied Zenith Irfan on a bike journey from Lahore to Khunjerab during the shooting of the film.

The movie based entirely on the boundary-breaking motorcycle journeys of Zenith Irfan who, at 20 years of age, is a concept to be the first Pakistani girl to have made a solo motorbike journey through the northern regions of the country.

Irfan’s more than one motorcycle journeys (documented in her Facebook blog “1 girl, 2 Wheels”) through areas of the country “in which it’s taboo for women to venture out unaccompanied, let alone riding solo on two wheels”, have attracted global attention.

The movie is based on Zenith Irfan’s life journey when at the age of 12 she started riding. In June 2015, Zenith Irfan motorcycled 3200 kilometres from Lahore, through Northern Pakistan and up to the Khunjerab. The three-week journey made her the first female Pakistani motorcyclist to ride through the northern terrains of the country.

Talking to this scribe, director of the movie Adnan Sarwar said, “I have always targeted subjects which makes an impact on people. When Zenith told me about her journey, it inspired me. I understand biopic in Pakistani cinema doesn’t have a good reputation for generating money at the box office, but every film is not meant to be a blockbuster.

“It’s a fascinating film, and I have high hopes for this project. I have scripted a fictional world around the true core story of a journey, and I hope that Motorcycle Girl will help further the cause of women empowerment in Pakistan,” Adnan said.

Zenith Irfan said she never knew a motorcycle could hold such power. “My brother brought me a bike so, that I could go to university. In June 2015, I travelled from Lahore up to Khunjerab pass which was an enjoyable experience for me. Adnan Sarwar has purchased the story rights. I’m delighted with the making of the biopic ‘Motorcycle girl’, and the filmmakers have made it beyond my expectations.

“It was the dream of my father to tour northern areas on the bike. He could not do so in his lifetime. So this whole journey is dedicated to him,” Zenith said.

Sohai Ali Abro got motorcycle training and followed Zenith Irfan’s bike journey from Lahore to Khanjerab during the shooting of the film. The movie has been co-produced by Jami under his banner Azadfilm Company.
